The Rhapsody of the Seas is one of four Vision-class ships owned by the Royal Caribbean shipping line. Her sister ships are the Vision of the Seas, the Grandeur of the Seas and the Enchantment of the Seas. Commissioned in 1997, it was recently renovated.

    Activities of Rhapsody of the Seas

    Bars & Lounges

    Inside the Rhapsody of the Seas, a recently renovated boat, salons and bars allow travelers to offer moments of conviviality and relaxation. At the back of this bridge, the Shall We Dance Lounge lounge has a dance floor and a bar. Travelers can also have a drink in the multiple bars, distributed in several places of the ship. On deck 6, the Schooner Bar is one of the most popular. Cocktails and various drinks are also offered at the R Bar on bridge 4. On bridge 6, the Diamond Lounge lounge is reserved for members of Diamond, Pinnacle Club and Diamond Plus Crown & Anchor Society.

    Restaurants

    As with all the ships of the Royal Carriber International company, gastronomy is in the spotlight on the Rhapsody of the Seas boat. Inside the liner, passengers have the choice between a wide choice of restaurants and bars. Three main restaurants invite passengers to taste dishes from a varied kitchen. On bridges 4 and 5 is the Edelweiss restaurant. On deck 9, the Windjammer Café restaurant offers menus in the form of a buffet. At the solarium, the Park Café serves simpler dishes like sandwiches. Other restaurants such as Chops Grill or Giovanni's Table are also to be tried, with an additional cost.

    Entertainment

    Passengers will not have time to get bored during their cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas. Several arrangements are dedicated to entertainment such as the Broadway Melodies on bridges 3 and 4 for example. Travelers are called upon to applaud actors, musicians and singers in this theater. Installed on bridge 5, the royal casino will delight enthusiasts of games of chance. On deck 6, passengers will admire the photos of the photo Gallery. Athletes can climb on the Rock Climbing Wall located on bridge 10. The giant screen located above the swimming pool also offers appreciable moments of relaxation by broadcasting films or concerts.

    Children & adolescents

    Passengers who travel with the family will be satisfied by their cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas. Multiple activities await children and adolescents on this boat. On board, the Adventure Ocean program is offered for free to children aged 3 to 17. Depending on their age, children will be divided into groups to participate in various entertainment. The little ones can go to the Kids Club where activities such as drawing or "face-painting" are offered to them by a professional and attentive team. For young people, a video game room and a nightclub facilitate meetings.

    Pools, aquatic and sports activities

    During a cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas, two swimming pools are at your disposal to enjoy the beautiful days of navigation. In the center of bridge 9, the main outdoor swimming pool was designed to be entertained with the family. Around, four whirlpools are placed on both sides of the swimming pool. At the back of the main pool, the solarium is also the place indicated to savor the heat of the sun's rays. Here, a heated swimming pool and two hot tubs are within the reach of bathers. Whatever time, passengers can settle on this site, a glass roof protects it in case of bad weather.

    Sporting activities

    Many sports infrastructure allows you to maintain the form during a trip to the Rhapsody of the Seas. On deck 10, a track is reserved for jogging enthusiasts. This track is divided into two parts: one is made for the race and the other is dedicated to those who prefer walking. A fitness center is held at the heart of the bridge 10, ideal for training with a breathtaking view of the sea. In addition, at the back of the bridge 10, a climbing wall offers several choices of climbers. For those who prefer table tennis, go to bridge 9 at the entrance to the solarium where several tables are available. Tournaments are sometimes organized there.

    Spa & Well-being

    In order to mark the importance of well-being aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas, the company has created spaces where everyone can recharge their batteries. On deck 9, the solarium constitutes a privileged space for relaxation. This solarium is a complex consisting of a heated indoor pool and two whirlpools, reserved for adults. The whole is protected by a retractable glass roof. Always on deck 9, a spa is offered to you with body and face care services including massages, aesthetic and medispa care. This spa also has a sauna and a hammam.

    Stores

    The Rhapsody of the Seas boat has shops, which passengers can visit throughout their trip. The stores are on bridges 6 and 9 of the boat. On deck 6, the shopping area welcomes you if you are looking for jewelry, perfumes or other items such as alcoholic drinks. In the center of Pont 6, the Gallery Shop displays all the photos taken during the trip. Photographic equipment and digital cameras are also sold here. On deck 9, children are invited to choose the stuffed animals they want. You will certainly find something to offer or have fun at detacked prices.

    Always more amenities, this is the motto of the Royal Caribbean International company to make the stay of passengers pleasant. Travelers have permanent access to Internet connection thanks to a wireless connection. Several computers are available to customers in the Royal Caribbean Online to send an email or to contact relatives. Efficient printers are on site. On board the Rhapsody of the Seas, the Conference Center is at the back of the boat on bridge 6. Dedicated to passengers who make a professional trip, this room has ultramodern equipment. Business meeting or seminars can be held there.

    Shows and entertainment

    The Royal Caribbean International company has planned multiple animation programs to entertain passengers of the Rhapsody of the Seas boat. Several shows are to be discovered in different rooms of the ship. On bridges 3 and 4, the Broadway Melodies theater hosts very popular shows like "Ballroom Fever" or "Welcome Aboard". In the afternoon, various films are broadcast there. Bingo games are also organized. On bridge 6, the Shall We Dance Lounge performance hall offers shows on its dance floor as well as karaoke. This room also has a dance floor. It can also accommodate bingo games.

    1-The ship

    The Rhapsody of the Seas can carry on its 11 passenger decks 2,435 passengers and 765 crew members. 751 feet long and 105 feet wide, it is a medium-sized cruise ship. It has 1,000 cabins, 593 of which are outside, 229 of which have balconies.

     

     

    2-Adult entertainment

    The fabulous 7-story Altrium lined with duty free stores is a real temptation for shopping.

     

    If you prefer to relax, head for the two pools, the glass-domed solarium or the six whirlpools on deck 9. The spa awaits you for thermal treatments and massages, and the beauty salon allows you to pamper yourself.

     

    For sports on board the Rhapsody of the Seas, you have a fitness room, a jogging track and an impressive 39-foot climbing wall with a view of the sea.

     

    In the evening, you can choose between the disco, the cinema screen on the pool deck, the theater on decks 5 & 6 for musicals or the 6,275-square-foot casino.

     

     

    3-Children and teenagers entertainment

    Children's activities are offered according to their age at Royal Caribbean with, as always, a daycare center for babies from 6 to 36 months.

     

    Children and teenagers are welcomed with the Adventure Ocean program for 3/11 year olds and New Teen (12/17 year olds) with many fun activities and games to make friends. They also have a video game room.

     

     

    4-Gastronomy, bars and lounges

    Among the 6 restaurants, you can enjoy meals at the main restaurant Edelweiss on decks 4 & 5. It serves international cuisine and a variety of dishes. The excellent Izumi, on deck 12, specializes in Asian cuisine. And if you like buffet restaurants, the Windjammer Café on deck 9 is famous for its sea view dining.

     

    The Viking Crown Lounge on the top floor offers a breathtaking view of the ocean and the ship. As for the Shall We Dance Lounge on deck 6, it is perfect for sipping a cocktail in a pleasant setting with live music. Also, in the heart of the Altrium, the R Bar serves champagne, liqueurs and cocktails in a 1960s decor.

     

     

    5-Accommodation on board Rhapsody of the Seas

    All staterooms feature luxurious bedding with king or twin beds. They are bright and comfortable, with a private bathroom with shower. If you want a view of the sea, you can choose an outside cabin with a window or balcony.

     

    The suites are all equipped with a bathroom with bathtub, balcony and luxurious bedding. Also, you benefit from a privileged service, including luggage handling, priority access and a concierge.

     

     

    6-Environment

    To save energy on board its ships, Royal Caribbean has installed LED lighting systems. It has also eliminated plastic straws on its entire fleet and seeks to reduce the use of plastic on board as much as possible. Also, since 1996, through its Ocean Fund foundation, it has been subsidizing NGOs in their actions to preserve the oceans.
