The Costa Toscana is the second ship in the Costa fleet to be powered by LNG after the Costa Smeralda in 2019. The use of liquefied natural gas significantly reduces emissions of sulfur dioxide and fine particles, by up to 32%. LNG, which is a liquefied version of natural gas obtained by cooling, is easier to store and transport, which also helps to reduce logistics-related emissions.
The Costa Toscana incorporates cutting-edge technologies to minimize its ecological impact. As an eco-responsible ship, she is equipped with a scrubber system, which eliminates fine particles and various atmospheric pollutants before they are released into the atmosphere. It also has a device that allows it to be connected to shore power when docked, thus reducing emissions during stopovers. Costa Toscana is equipped for advanced wastewater treatment. As with all the ships in the Costa fleet, effective methods are in place to reduce, recycle and recover the waste produced on board every day.
Costa Toscana cabins are modern, functional and elegantly decorated. Choose from interior, exterior, balcony or terrace cabins. For optimum comfort, suites offer ample space and include butler service and priority embarkation and disembarkation.
The interior cabins of the Costa Toscana, with a surface area of up to 161 sq. ft., feature either a double bed or two single beds. They are equipped with shelving, desk, safe, flat-screen TV, telephone and bathroom with shower and hairdryer. These cabins are air-conditioned. The décor is contemporary, with design elements and unique works of art.
The outside cabins are more spacious, with up to 248 sq. ft. of space, and feature the same amenities as the inside cabins. The distinctive feature of these cabins is their large windows, offering passengers the chance to admire the sea directly from their cabin.
Balcony cabins offer 205 sq. ft. of living space and feature a 43 sq. ft. balcony, perfect for relaxing outdoors. Terrace cabins, also 205 sq. ft., feature a large 86 sq. ft. terrace, complemented by a lighted veranda. They are furnished with one double or two single beds, a desk and a sitting area with sofa. The modern bathroom has a shower and hairdryer.
The suites on the ship offer first-class amenities to ensure a comfortable and elegant stay. They include a large private balcony and a bathroom with a hydromassage shower and top-of-the-range bath products, accompanied by bathrobes and slippers. These suites offer up to 355 sq. ft. of space. Guests benefit from a personal butler service available daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., who assists with such things as unpacking luggage and arranging reservations. A distinctive advantage of these suites is the possibility of enjoying breakfast and dinner in the privacy of one's cabin. A bottle of sparkling wine is also offered on arrival.
The Costa Toscana boasts four swimming pools, a spacious solarium with plenty of sun loungers and an extensive spa offering 16 treatment rooms, including massage rooms, sauna and steam room. Suite passengers have access to an exclusive VIP area on Deck 19, which includes a sun terrace and whirlpool baths.
