Built at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, the Celebrity Xcel is the fifth vessel in Celebrity Cruises’ Edge series, launched in November 2025. The ship measures 1,073 ft in length and 128 ft in width. Spanning 17 decks, it can accommodate up to 3,260 passengers in 1,646 cabins. An onboard crew of 1,400 ensures attentive, personalized service. Among its standout features is the Magic Carpet, a unique moving platform that travels along the ship, offering panoramic views and transforming into a restaurant, bar, or boarding area depending on its location, as well as the Rooftop Garden, which has been expanded to provide even more space for relaxation and outdoor shows. One of the major new attractions on the Celebrity Xcel is The Bazaar, a three-level immersive area designed to plunge guests into cultural experiences, themed festivals, and culinary discoveries inspired by port stops. Another notable innovation is Mosaic, a new restaurant that spotlights refined regional cuisine and also houses the Chef’s Studio at Mosaic—the first cooking school on a Celebrity Cruises ship.
The Celebrity Xcel is the first ship in the fleet to be equipped with a tri-fuel engine capable of running on methanol, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and marine diesel, thereby reducing its environmental impact. Like all Edge-class vessels, it also features an exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS) that eliminates 98% of sulfur dioxide emissions, along with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system that cuts nitrogen oxide emissions by 97%. Celebrity Cruises is actively committed to marine ecosystem protection through its Save the Waves program, which is founded on the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling waste.
The Celebrity Xcel offers a wide range of modern cabins and suites designed with guest comfort in mind.
These cabins are crafted to maximize space, making them perfect for travelers seeking practical accommodations. Ranging from approximately 172 to 194 sq. ft, they feature two twin beds that can be converted into a double, a flat-screen TV, a cozy seating area, and well-thought-out storage. A modern bathroom equipped with high-end toiletries completes the space to ensure optimal comfort.
Offering between about 194 and 237 sq. ft, the Oceanview cabins come with expansive panoramic windows that provide breathtaking views of the sea and abundant natural light. They include two twin beds that can be joined to form a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, a seating area, and optimized storage. A modern bathroom with premium bath products rounds out the accommodations for maximum comfort.
These cabins feature a private balcony, providing an ideal outdoor space to take in the maritime scenery. Their total area, including the balcony, ranges from approximately 247 to 269 sq. ft. They are furnished with king-size beds outfitted with eXhale® bedding and a Cashmere™ mattress for ultimate comfort. In terms of amenities, they offer the same features as both the Interior and Oceanview cabins.
These contemporary cabins are designed with sliding doors that create a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors, ensuring uninterrupted sea views while maintaining guest privacy. Their size, also between about 247 and 269 sq. ft, and amenities are comparable to those of the Veranda cabins, including king-size beds with eXhale® bedding and a Cashmere™ mattress.
Ideal for wellness enthusiasts, AquaClass cabins offer exclusive access to the spa. They measure between approximately 247 and 269 sq. ft and include a private balcony of about 43 sq. ft. Guests can enjoy the SEA Thermal Suite or the Persian Garden—dedicated relaxation spaces featuring hammams, salt rooms, infrared saunas, and therapeutic showers. In addition, they benefit from privileged access to the Blu restaurant, which serves healthy, refined cuisine in an intimate setting.
Measuring from about 247 to 269 sq. ft, these cabins combine comfort with high-end amenities. They follow the same layout as the balcony cabins but stand out with exclusive perks such as priority check-in and disembarkation, a dedicated concierge, preferential reservations, premium bedding, and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival.
The suites on the Celebrity Xcel come in several categories, offering a refined experience complete with a dedicated butler service. The Sky Suites, approximately 593 sq. ft in size, include a private balcony of around 140 sq. ft, a king-size bed with signature Cashmere™ bedding, and a bathroom equipped with a spacious spa tub and a shower. The Edge Villas feature two bathrooms and a private terrace with a plunge pool, providing direct access to the Retreat Sundeck.
The Penthouse Suites offer an expansive space of 1,378 sq. ft, complemented by an 194 sq. ft balcony. They consist of a main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, a combined living and dining area, as well as an additional guest bedroom with its own bathroom, a terrace, and a private whirlpool tub.
The Iconic Suites, the most spacious onboard, extend over 1,897 sq. ft and boast a private balcony of 1,897 sq. ft; they include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living/dining area, and a terrace featuring a private whirlpool with exceptional panoramic views. Guests in the Iconic Suites also enjoy exclusive access to the Luminae restaurant.
The Celebrity Xcel offers an extensive range of activities and entertainment options designed to enrich every guest’s experience. Among its standout features, the expanded Rooftop Garden provides even more opportunities for outdoor relaxation and entertainment.
