MSC World Asia will feature an MSC Yacht Club, designed to deliver an exclusive experience, and will include many of the entertainment facilities already found on MSC World Europa and MSC World America. Conceived to explore Asia’s most captivating coastlines, it will provide a fully immersive Asian cruise at each port of call, while focusing on well-being, modernity, and environmental stewardship.
From a technical perspective, the ship will be equipped with dual-fuel engines powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). This approach will reduce CO2 emissions and facilitate the transition to cleaner fuels such as bio and synthetic LNG, while also cutting methane releases by 30 percent compared to current systems. To further lessen its ecological footprint, the vessel will have shore power capability, minimizing atmospheric emissions during stopovers. In addition, its propellers will be specially engineered to limit noise pollution and protect marine life, underscoring MSC Cruises’ commitment to sustainability.
All these initiatives form part of the European GREEN RAY project, in which the company participates to develop innovative and eco-friendly technologies.
