The Norwegian Star is a ship of the Norwegian Cruise Line, or NCL. Sister-ship to the Norwegian Dawn, she belongs to the Dawn class. Commissioned in 2001, she was renovated in 2018 as part of the Norwegian Edge program, with improvements to public spaces.

At 965 feet long and 125 feet wide, she can carry 2,348 passengers and 1,031 crew. Passengers have access to 11 of the 14 decks and stay in one of the 1,174 cabins and suites.
The Spice H20 is an adults-only area with whirlpool baths, deckchairs, bar, giant screen and wet grotto for cooling off. For further relaxation, there's also the Mandara Spa, with 2 pools and 6 whirlpools.
You can also get some exercise at the fitness center, on the running track, on the multi-sports field, on the golf course or take Pilates, yoga and stretching classes.
In the center of the ship, on deck 7, duty-free boutiques await you for your shopping sprees.
Evening entertainment is plentiful at the Casino Star, with its 158 slot machines. There's also the 909-seat Stardust Theater, spread over 3 decks, for top-quality shows and musicals.
There's a children's pool on deck 12, with a paddling pool and two slides.
They can also let off steam in the Video Zone on Deck 12, a room dedicated to video games.
The 13/17 year-olds can enjoy a jukebox, table soccer, various games and the Entourage Teen Club disco.
There are a dozen restaurants on board, including 2 main dining rooms and an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Specialty restaurants serve a variety of international cuisine. La Cucina is a restaurant serving Italian classics. Garden Café is the buffet restaurant overlooking the sea. And Versailles is an elegant restaurant with ocean views and traditional cuisine.
10 bars and lounges offer a variety of atmospheres. O'Sheenan's is an Irish pub perfect for a beer. Gatsby's is a sophisticated champagne bar.
Choose from inside, outside, family or balcony cabins. They are modern, comfortable and functional, with twin beds that can be converted into a double. The average surface area is 151 to 258 square feet, with balconies ranging from 32 to 86 square feet.
For the ultimate in comfort, treat yourself to a Club Balcony, Deluxe, Owner's or Penthouse suite. And if you're on a budget, the majestic 3-bedroom Garden Villa.
