The Sun Princess measures approximately 1,133 feet in length and has 21 decks. It can accommodate up to 4,300 passengers in 2,157 cabins and is served by a crew of 1,600. As part of the Sphere Class, it stands as one of the largest and most advanced ships in the Princess Cruises fleet.
The Sun Princess boasts over 30 dining and lounge venues, including signature favorites like Crown Grill and Alfredo's Pizzeria, as well as new additions such as The Butcher's Block by Dario Cecchini, The Catch by Rudi, and Makoto Ocean. Guests can enjoy the expansive Princess Casino, a two-story Lotus Spa, and innovative spaces unique to the Sphere Class: The Dome—a glass-enclosed entertainment venue inspired by Santorini's terraces; the Piazza featuring a stunning glass sphere; and the technologically advanced Princess Arena offering immersive shows. Additionally, the ship presents exclusive experiences like Cirque Éloize performances, blending acrobatics with cutting-edge visual effects. The Sun Princess is also the first in the fleet to feature a 24-hour café, providing guests with round-the-clock dining options.
The Sun Princess offers a range of accommodations, including 2,157 staterooms, with a significant number featuring private balconies. The ship introduces the Sanctuary Collection, providing guests with luxurious suites, exclusive access to a private restaurant, lounge, and sundeck. This collection is designed for travelers seeking an elevated cruising experience with personalized services and premium amenities. Notably, the Cabana Mini Suites offer an enclosed cabana that opens onto the balcony, creating a space that feels both private and luxurious.
As the first Princess Cruises ship powered by LNG, the Sun Princess significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with the company's commitment to sustainable cruising. The vessel is equipped with an advanced air lubrication system that minimizes hull resistance, enhancing fuel efficiency by 5 to 10%. These innovations contribute to a more environmentally friendly voyage without compromising on comfort or luxury. Additionally, the ship utilizes shore power when docked, further reducing its environmental impact.
